Ransomware strikes again!

Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center has paid hackers to release their data after compromising their network and encrypting their data. The hospital’s CEO stated it was in their best interest to give the nefarious individuals what they demanded and to not cause further disruption.

It is a sad day in the world when we would rather lay down than to fight. I am not saying fight in its traditional term, I am referring to standing up and securing your business. Most healthcare entities feel they are too small and do not require information security.
