Finally, some good news about cyber to report!

NetDocuments, a leading cloud-based document and email management service (DMS), today announced it has received the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 Certification confirming NetDocuments meets or exceeds international standards for data privacy, security, and information governance practices.

In this Information Security space, it is quite refreshing to see some good news from a company looking to secure its assets. For those whom are unaware, ISO 27001 is a certification that is achieved by companies looking to implement an information security management program. Ninety percent of companies in the world today fall under some regulatory requirement, however, most of the organizations do not have an information security management program to align these requirements. In short, most companies do not have a designated person or department that addresses cyber concerns. Misinformed companies make the mistake by appointing this task to the IT department, but when you factor in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Privacy, Compliance, Governance et cetera, this falls out of the IT serviceman's purview.

I do not want to take away from this firms great achievement and I would like to wish NetDocuments a sincere congratulations as our goal is to have all firms aspire to achieve a similar regulatory goal.
